FolioLens is a portfolio clarity tool for Indian mutual fund investors. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices you have.
This is an early version prepared for launch and app-store review. It should be reviewed by qualified counsel before FolioLens is scaled commercially.
1. Who we are
“FolioLens”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to the FolioLens product and website available at foliolens.in. For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@foliolens.in.
2. What FolioLens does
FolioLens helps users organise and understand their mutual fund portfolio, including performance, holdings, overlap, concentration, benchmarks, and related portfolio information. FolioLens does not provide investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, fund recommendations, buy/sell/hold recommendations, or personalised financial planning.
3. Information we collect
Depending on how you use FolioLens, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Account and contact information: name, email address, login details, support messages, and communication preferences.
- Waitlist and research information: your current tracking method, investor type, number of funds held, feedback, and whether you are open to a feedback call.
- Portfolio and mutual fund information: CAS imports, folio-level data, mutual fund scheme details, transactions, units, amounts, NAVs, cost basis, gains/losses, benchmarks, and portfolio analytics generated by the product.
- Identity-related information needed for product functionality: information such as PAN or email identifiers where required to process CAS files, match records, or import portfolio information.
- Technical and usage information: device/browser details, IP-derived approximate location, pages visited, referring URLs, UTM campaign parameters, error logs, analytics events, and security logs.
- Uploaded or forwarded documents: files or emails you choose to upload, forward, or otherwise provide to FolioLens for portfolio import and analysis.
4. How we collect information
- Directly from you when you join the waitlist, create an account, contact us, or submit feedback.
- From files, CAS statements, emails, or data you choose to upload, forward, or connect.
- Automatically through hosting, analytics, security, and logging tools when you use the website or app.
- From public or licensed market/fund data sources used to support product features.
5. How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve FolioLens.
- Import, parse, organise, and display your mutual fund portfolio information.
- Calculate and show portfolio analytics such as returns, allocation, overlap, concentration, and benchmark comparisons.
- Provide early access, product updates, support, and service communications.
- Understand demand, diagnose bugs, improve onboarding, and prioritise product development.
- Protect against spam, abuse, fraud, security incidents, and unauthorised access.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, platform, and app-store obligations.
6. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not provide investment advice or recommend specific funds.
- We do not use your portfolio data to make unauthorised financial transactions.
- We do not intentionally collect data from children.
7. Sharing information
We may share information with service providers that help us operate FolioLens, such as hosting, database, authentication, analytics, form, email delivery, security, and support providers. These providers are used to run the product and are not permitted by us to use your information for unrelated purposes.
Current or planned service providers may include Cloudflare, Supabase, Tally, Resend, Google services, analytics providers, and similar infrastructure providers. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and security, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or reorganisation.
8. Analytics and cookies
We use basic analytics to understand traffic, waitlist conversion, device/browser information, and product usage. We may use cookies or similar technologies where needed for security, authentication, analytics, preferences, and product functionality.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including HTTPS, access controls, managed infrastructure, and security monitoring. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide FolioLens, support users, improve the product, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms. Waitlist and marketing data may be retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Portfolio data may be retained while your account is active unless deletion is requested or required.
11. Your choices and rights
You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal information, or to opt out of marketing communications. We may need to verify your identity before acting on certain requests.

12. International processing
FolioLens may use cloud infrastructure and service providers located in different countries. By using FolioLens, you understand that information may be processed outside your country of residence, subject to applicable safeguards and service-provider terms.
13. Children
FolioLens is not intended for children or users under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact privacy@foliolens.in.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as FolioLens evolves. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated date.
